This lead us to create a hamper that not only competes with the very best out there, but which offers great value for money given it's premium contents.

Completely refreshed for 2020, we have given you the option of choosing one of three different bottle packages at different price points.

Each selection contains some truly delicious bottles of Wine, Champagne, Port and Whisky and we are sure that whichever one you choose that you or your recipient will be delighted with it's contents.

Starting with five of the finest bottles available - Bottle Package 2:

  • A bottle of Domaine Chante Cigale Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge 2016 75cl

This is a traditional Châteauneuf-du-Pape with a peppery, leathery nose. The palate is dry with spices, more pepper and a hint of
vanilla before a delicious, firm finish. 

Domaine Chante Cigale is located within the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and has been owned by the Sabon Favier family for
several generations. Consisting of 41 hectares, the domaine benefits from old vines, some of which are veritably ancient at over
100 years old. Alexandre Favier took over from his father, Christian, and is part of a new wave of producers in Châteauneuf-du-
Pape, combining modern technical expertise with time-honoured winemaking practices.Alexandre is lauded by notable journalists
including Steve Danzier and Jancis Robinson for his deftly-made and reasonably-priced wines. Domaine Chante Cigale has also
built a reputation for specialising in white wines, of which they produce more than any other estate in the appellation.
As you might expect from someone born and raised on an estate named after singing cicadas, Alexandre Favier keenly promotes
the biodiversity of his vineyards. He is very conscious of his role as guardian of his land for future generations and Chante Cigale
is currently in conversion to full organic status.

  • A bottle of Domaine Lebrun Pouilly Fumé 2018 75cl

Typical expression of Pouilly Fume, lots of citrus fruit underpinned by smoky undertones when drunk in youth. With age come
complexity, worth cellaring.
With an average age of 25 years, the Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted at a density of 7000-8300 per hectare. The grapes are
gently pressed before the juice is fermented in tank at low temperatures, usually 16-18 degrees. Maturation is carried out on fine
lees in both stainless steel tanks and large oak vessels for a period of 5 months.
Laurent Lebrun was trained as a winemaker at Montpellier, spent his formative years training in Australia and then returned to
France to take up the position of General Manager and Head Winemaker at Château Olivier, Grand Cru Classé in Bordeaux. He
has recently taken over the running of his family estate in Pouilly-Fumé which makes classic, flinty wines from 9 hectares of vines
on the slopes of St. Andelain.

  • A bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvée Champagne 75cl

Run by Ghislain de Montgolfier, great-grandson of the founder, Bollinger remains family owned to this day. The winemaker is Alsace

born Mathieu Kauffmann, who uses Pinot Noir in the Special Cuvée to lend summer berry notes, while Chardonnay gives it a delicate

creaminess. 10% reserve wine – up to 15 years old – contributes the complexity you expect from this great name.

Madame Lily Bollinger, who died in 1971, was the wine’s greatest ambassador. Once, when asked how she enjoyed her Champagne,

she replied, “I drink it when I’m happy and when I’m sad. Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone. When I have company I consider it

obligatory. I trifle with it if I’m not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise, I never touch it — unless I’m thirsty!”

  • A bottle of Glengoyne 10 Y.O Single Malt Whisky 75cl

Glengoyne Distillery is a whisky distillery continuously in operation since its founding in 1833 at Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow,
Scotland. Glengoyne is unique in producing Highland single malt whisky matured in the Lowlands. Located upon the Highland
Line, the division between the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland, Glengoyne’s stills are in the Highlands while maturing casks
of whisky rest across the road in the Lowlands. Unlike many malt whisky distilleries, Glengoyne does not use peat smoke to dry
their barley, but instead uses warm air. The nose is slightly herbal with a big bourbon influence. The palate is rich in barley, with
again more bourbon influences. Very clean and dry. The finish is long and rich in barley, with a touch of hoi sin left at the back of
the mouth.
Founded in 1833 originally as Burnfoot distillery, it was later changed to Glen Guin and then eventually Glengoyne – “the valley of
the wild geese”. Located a dozen or so miles north of Glasgow, Glengoyne is unique in that the distillery itself is located in the
Highland region, while the warehouses, across the A81, are technically in the Lowlands.
Moreover, Glengoyne is equiped with one wash still and two spirit stils (they usually come in pairs) with owners Ian Macleod
Distillers proudly declaring that these are 'the slowest stills in Scotland'.

  • A bottle of Krohn Colheita 2007 Vintage Port 75cl

Nutty aromas, with notes of toffee and apple. The beautifully smooth and mellow palate has ripe fruit - characters of fig and raisin
- along with rich and ripe spicy and nutty flavours. Complex and well-balanced, with great length.
Wiese & Krohn was founded in 1865 by two Norwegians - Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn - shipping initially to Scandinavia
and Germany. In the century and a half since its foundation, Krohn has built up an outstanding reputation. Long renowned for the
quality of their sublime Colheitas (single vintage tawnies), they produce a remarkably complete range for a small house, and
each wine excels in its category. Much of the secret lies in the high quality of their vineyards - the magical combination of terroir,
locality, aspect, incline and low-yielding vines. Their Quinta do Retiro Novo estate in Sarzedinho, in the Rio Torto valley (where
vinification takes place), is all A grade vineyard. Indeed Krohn only work with grapes from A-graded vineyards across all of their
ports, and their top wines are still trodden by foot. Since 2013 Krohn has been part of the Fladgate Partnership - alongside
Taylor's, Fonseca and Croft.

  • Ardtaraig 750g Side of Smoked Scottish Salmon

We are delighted to be able to put a large side of our smoked salmon in our new larger 24" wicker hamper. Quite simply our most popular product that we sell. Our signature Ardtaraig Smoked Scottish Salmon is quite unlike anything you will find in the supermarket. Our Scottish Salmon is smoked gently over a mixture of Oak and Beech wood in traditional London brick kilns using age old smoking techniques. This provides a wonderful light smoke that does not overpower the delicate flavour of our Salmon. (Serves 8-10 as a starter)

  • Ardtaraig 200g Scottish Cured Gravadlax

Our Gravadlax is beautiful. A great alternative to our Smoked Salmon, this product is cured in a Scandinavian style, rather than smoked. Utilising a combination of dill, juniper and molasses, Gravadlax is very distinct and unique in flavour and if you've not tried it before, it will leave you wanting more!

  • Ardtaraig 200g Smoked Scottish Rainbow Trout

Our Smoked Scottish Rainbow Trout is similar to our smoked salmon, but with a more subtle flavour. Still distinct in its own right, many people prefer this delicacy over smoked salmon.

  • Ardtaraig 180g Hot Roast Salmon Slices

As opposed to the other products in this hamper which are cold smoked, this product is hot smoked, (the secret is in the name) which effectively smokes and roasts our beautiful salmon. This produces a very versatile product with all the flavour of Smoked Salmon, but a flaky texture that can be used in salads, canapés, breakfasts and our favourite... pasta dishes.

  • New for 2020 - John Ross Dill & Mustard Sauce Jar 175g

In Scandinavia you can't go far without finding this stunning, traditional Dill & Mustard Sauce. In Sweden it is called hovmästarsås and is an age old pairing to eat with fish. We challenge anyone to not find this totally addictive. John Ross have been producing this sauce for years. We have traditionally served a sachet in the back of our Gravadlax packs for years, but people want it in greater quantities, so here we are. Enjoy!

  • A 30g tin of Desietra Acipenser Baeri Caviar

You can't have the ultimate hamper without Caviar!

Our partners at Desietra really know what they are doing when it comes to caviar. We would have loved to have put some Beluga in here, but then the hamper would be twice the price! Acipenser Baeri caviar is a beautiful product. Also called Baeriskaya, this caviar is taken from Siberian Sturgeon. It is great value and just melts on the tongue with a fine distinct flavour. The colour ranges from Black/Grey to Black/Brown and don't forget, 30g goes a log way. Classified BAE on the CITES tamper seal, this caviar is the real deal and totally delicious.

  • A 12cm Mother of Pearl Caviar spoon

Many of you will know this already, but when serving, or eating caviar it is important to not use a metal spoon. Due to the delicate flavour of caviar, the metal on spoons taints the flavour when the metal touches the delicate eggs. This beautiful mother of pearl spoon is the perfect thing and something that can be used again and again.

No hamper is complete without beautiful Paté's. We've added three of them from Findlaters Fine Foods:

  • Findlaters Duck Liver Paté with Apricots poached in Cointreau 120g
  • Findlaters Chicken Liver Paté with Port and Brandy 120g
  • Findlaters Venison Paté with Cranberries & Cherry Brandy 120g

It has taken us a long time to find the right paté for our hampers, but in Findlaters we have found the perfect solution. No long life ambient paté's here!  Each paté is very distinct in flavour, each has won great taste gold awards and we challenge you not to think that they could be served in a restaurant.

You can't have paté's without cheese:

  • Isle of Arran Cheese, Kilbride Mature Cheddar waxed truckle 200g

There is a reason that this product has been in our hampers for so long. It is truly delicious and nothing, in our opinion comes close.This yummy and moreish cheddar is mature and full of flavour. Perfect after dinner with some of that lovely wine or port.

  • Cropwell Bishop Creamery Waxed Blue Stilton 225g

Hand crafted the traditional way by the Skailes Family using 3rd generation recipe's. We believe this is one of the best stilton's we have ever tried. Cropwell Bishop's Blue Stilton has a rich tangy flavour, and a velvety-soft texture that makes it melt in the mouth. They craft this cheese carefully by hand, using methods that have changed little since the 17th Century. To allow this Stilton to develop its unique flavour, they normally age it to 12 weeks. This Blue Stilton Cheese was awarded a prestigious 3 Star Great Taste Award in August 2017

  • Peter's Yard Original Sourdough Crispbreads (Round without hole) 140g

Peter's Yard crispbread recipes are always inspired by Sweden. They are made by skilled bakers here in the UK using organic fresh milk, organic flours and our precious sourdough which is fed daily and allowed to ferment for 16 hours before each batch is baked. Perfect for Canapés and dips or as biscuits for cheese with each box contains Peters Yard's traditional round crispbreads. This product also has a great taste 3 star award.

  • Walkers Highland Oatcakes 280g

The iconic oatcakes – crunchy delicious and packed with wholesome oats.

Only the finest ingredients are used and then cooked in small batches using traditional methods - this guarantees a quality product with an authentic taste. This chutney, produced by our friends, the Hesketh family is stunning and the perfect compliment to the cheese and paté's in this hamper. We always have a jar on the go in the Mortimer household.

  • Galloway Lodge Strawberry Jam 200g

A really gorgeous and luxurious hand made, small batch jam from local producers Galloway Lodge. All made in small batches, this local supplier are at the top of their game.

  • Galloway Lodge Single Malt Whisky Marmalade 200g

Whisky and marmalade go hand in hand and this is one of the best we have tried. Galloway lodge are a small, family runbusiness just like us and it really shows in thier products. Made in small batches and by hand we know you will be as impressed with us with this gorgeous product.

  • Salthouse & Peppermongers Keralan Green Pepper 38g

As the perfect accompaniment to our delicious Smoked Salmon, we at Ardtaraig love pepper, but this is something else entirely. The beauty of Keralan green pepper is that it is more delicate than traditional pepper. It still has that lovely peppery flavour, but more subtle with fresh herby notes that truly compliment our salmon perfectly. So much so that we have put this product into all of our luxury hampers this year.

  • Blackthorn Salt Box 240g Box

Blackthorn salt are locally based in Ayr and are producing a truly exciting salt using a centuries old method which are patient, gentle and sustainable: Scottish West Coast sea water is slowly trickled through the country’s only graduation thorn tower whilst being evaporated by the exhilarating West Coast wind.

Blackthorn use 100% west coast sea water and nothing else. There are no illusions: no adding, no seeding, no bleaching, just pure Scottish sea salt. When you taste Blackthorn Salt you taste nature – the sea, the winds and the thorns.

  • Rocket Monkey Roastery Major Tom fresh roasted coffee for cafetiere 250g

Rocket Monkey Roastery has a great name and is taking the coffee world by storm. Main supplier of the Edinburgh Festival sites in 2017, 2018 and 2019, their coffee has received rave reviews and this signature Major Tom coffee is one of their best. Strong, rich, chocolatey and tasting of hazelnuts, roasted by hand, in small batches, their ethos is to roast their coffee beans according to how the bean needs to be roasted, not to follow fashion or trends. This beautiful product drinks well at any time of day.

  • Shibui Tea - Scottish Breakfast Tea & Peppermint Tea

One of our newest partnerships, Shibui Tea is an exceptional company providing exceptional products. In this hamper we have two of their finest, new Scottish Breakfast Tea Bio Pyramids and Peppermint Bio Pyramids.

Each Tube contains 15 Pyramid bags. The Tubes, Pyramids and internal wrapper are all biodegradable and beautifully presented.

Bare Bones Chocolate ™ is a micro-batch, bean to bar chocolate company based in Glasgow created by Cameron and Lara. As chocolate and speciality food enthusiasts, they wanted to create their own brand that was built on incredible chocolate with impeccable detail through every process. They make their chocolate in a tiny workshop in the South Side of Glasgow in micro-batches of around 8kg at a time. They roast their cacao on a modified Giesen coffee roaster and have engineered most of their equipment from scratch, to get the best possible quality for their batch sizes. Bare Bones want to highlight the importance of good chocolate – free from emulsifiers and additives.

 Award-winning single-origin Madagascar 70% dark chocolate with taste notes of maple syrup and cherry with a raspberry jam finish.  Beautifully rich and without the bitterness commonly associated with dark chocolate.

 Single origin Dominican Republic 68% dark chocolate with tasting notes of salted caramel and roasted hazelnuts. The Maldon salt is ground smooth within the chocolate for 24 hours and acts as a flavour indicator to bring out the natural sweetness from the cacao. The salt creates the perfect balance of sweet and savoury – making it incredibly complex and moreish.
