    • What is the difference between D-Sliced and Long Sliced Salmon?
      • All of our Packs of Salmon (100g, 200g, 400g and 1000g) are Long Sliced. This is as it sounds, a Long slice across the top of the fillet and is perfect for preparing canapés or for catering for large numbers – See photo below
      • All of our Sides of Salmon are D-Sliced. This is the more traditional cut and is diagonally sliced through the fillet to produce a triangular cut with a tiny amount of brown meat in the middle at the bottom. This is perfect for plated starters and self serving from the side. – See photo below
    • How are my products delivered?
      • Due to the nature of the products we offer, some of our products like Oysters and Venison are sent directly from source. This ensures you receive the freshest possible produce and whilst this may entail more than one delivery if you are ordering multiple items, it means we can provide our products in the best condition possible. We have much more detailed information on our delivery page with costs (here) or on each product page.
      • Our standard delivery service for our Fish products is through the Royal Mail first class delivery service. You can specify a courier delivery with DHL or UPS if you prefer.
      • Our Oysters and Hampers are delivered with UPS.
      • Our Chocolates and Venison are delivered with 1st Class Royal Mail

 

    • Can I specify an exact delivery day?
      • Whilst we will always try to get your delivery with you on a specific day, we cannot guarantee this. We will give an indicated transit time so please bear this in mind if you wish to have something for a specific day.
        • We do not deliver on a Monday due to the fresh nature of our produce.
        • We do not deliver at the weekend unless by special request. (This is a very expensive option)
        • If you place your order before 10am we can often dispatch on the same day as your order.

 

        • Christmas
        • At Christmas due to the sheer volume of dispatches we have set dispatch days to get your product to you as close to Christmas as possible. If it is for a specific day before Christmas we can dispatch early for you upon request.
        • We monitor the weather very closely to try and ensure that you get your product before Christmas.
        • For European Dispatches we will dispatch slightly earlier according to transit times and weather.

 

    • If my product is a gift can I put in a message?
      • We offer a free gift card service. Enter your message during your order and we will put it in an attractive gift card with your order.

 

    • Can I gift wrap my gifts?
      • We have gift boxes for sides of Salmon and our Hampers and Gift Boxes are very attractively presented

 

    • What are my deliveries packaged in?
      • Our Salmon deliveries come in insulated polystyrene boxes with ice. For smaller packages we send packs of fish in insulated envelopes with ice. These generally fit through letterboxes.
      • Our gift boxes and hampers come packaged in a solid cardboard outer case to protect them.
      • Our Oysters come packaged in ventilated wooden boxes to allow the oysters to breathe. These are packed in either seaweed or damp paper.
      • Our venison is packaged in polystyrene boxes with ice
      • Our Chocolates are packaged in attractive gift boxes with a cardboard protective outer.
      • Where possible we will endeavour to display a photograph of the packaged item on the product page.

 

    • What if my package or gift does not arrive?
      • Providing all details have been supplied correctly and the delivery has either not got there or been damaged in transit, we will always endeavour to either offer a replacement delivery or a refund. Our priority is customer satisfaction and we will always try to ensure that you are satisfied with the end result.
      • We apologise in advance if there is a problem with your delivery, this is a very rare occurance, but sometimes the delivery networks let us down in some way and we will always try to resolve the situation.

 

    • What if I have special requests for delivery?
      • Place your request at the time of order or call us in advance and we will try to accommodate your requests.
      • If you wish us to put instructions to leave safe somewhere or with a neighbour we are usually able to do this for you.

 

    • How long will my product last?
    • Fish products
      • We place a use by date if frozen on our product whereby if frozen upon reciept the product will be safe to eat until.
      • Upon receipt and if placed in a refrigerator our product is safe to eat for between 7-10 days.
      • Upon opening consume within 48hrs

    • Oysters
      • It goes without saying that Oysters and other shellfish products are best consumed as fresh as possible. We advise that these should be consumed within 5 days of sending and if any shells are open, do not consume them.
      • Keep refrigerated upon receipt
      • If you have any concerns call us directly
    • Chocolates
      • Whilst produced fresh our cholcolate products have a use by date on the back usually 1-2 months long. Refer to the back of the product box
    • Venison
      • This product has a use by date if refrigerated on the box. This can also be safely frozen within indicated guidelines.
    • Hampers
      • As these are made up of more than one item, refer to each individual item for guidelines
