Carefully Sourced Scottish Trout

Our rainbow trout is sourced from the fast-flowing waters of North West Scotland, where low stock densities and high-quality feeding ensure a naturally firm texture and excellent flavour.

Traditional Smoking, Time Honoured Craft

Unlike modern intensive smoking methods, we use traditional London brick kilns and slow smoke our trout over Oak and Beech wood. This heritage process creates a gentle, well-balanced smokiness that enhances the natural character of the fish.

Delicate Flavour, Refined Texture

The result is a beautifully succulent smoked trout with a delicate flavour, smooth texture, and a lighter, less oily finish than many modern alternatives. The gentle smoke allows the natural quality of the fish to remain at the forefront.

A fantastic alternative to smoked salmon, our smoked rainbow trout offers a more subtle flavour profile while maintaining the same level of craftsmanship and care.

Ardtaraig ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we only use premium courier services.

Our courier costs are £7.00 + VAT (UK Mainland) and £9.95 (H&I) for up to 20kgs to one address, for a fish only order.
Our hampers incur individual delivery charges of £7.00 + VAT (UK Mainland) and £9.95 (H&I) due to size and weight.

Deliveries are sent on a next day service but can occasionally take longer. We pack all of our deliveries to transit for a minimum of 48hrs.
