Description
Tradition Since 1981
For over 40 years, Ardtaraig has specialised in exceptional Smoked Scottish Salmon — the product that founded our name and continues to define our reputation today.
Carefully Crafted, Naturally Simple
We believe great smoked salmon begins with outstanding ingredients. That’s why we use only responsibly sourced Scottish salmon, traditionally cured with salt and demerara sugar before being gently smoked over Oak and Beech wood.
Rich Flavour. Refined Texture.
Our traditional smoking process creates salmon that is delicately balanced, rich in flavour, and beautifully smooth in texture — a timeless delicacy perfected through generations of craftsmanship.
A Favourite for Every Occasion
Whether served for breakfast, entertaining guests, or gifting to someone special, Ardtaraig Smoked Scottish Salmon brings a touch of luxury to every table.

Cold smoked and hot smoked salmon, gravalax
I have ordered many products from Ardtaraig and without exception they have all been delicious, well produced and packaged. As someone who has been associated with the Scottish smoked salmon business in the past, I would thoroughly recommend Ardtaraig. For Christmas, as treats during lockdown and indeed throughout the year, I wouldn’t consider buying from anywhere else.

As this was a present, I have not tasted it myself but very good feedback!

Traditional Smoked Scottish Salmon
Sent as a gift after Xmas as my usual supplier defaulted on the order. Recipient stated that "Salmon was delicious.5 for taste, easy packaging. " One comment on your website - never turn off a website and if for some reason you do, please leave a message that you have. I spent many hours trying to put in an order around the Xmas vacation time to no avail and no explanation as to why I could not complete an order...Very frustrating.

traditional smoked Scottish Salmon
I unfortunately do not like salmon in any form but my partner adores it. I purchased the first lot for her 80th birthday in December and she stated that in all her years it was the best smoked salmon she had ever tasted. It was because it was lightly smoked therefore she could taste the salmon as well as the smoking and it was obvious to her that the quality of the salmon was superb. It was such a hit that I ordered another pack for a valentine's surprise and she was over the moon. The standard of the packaging and service from this company are first class, it is obvious that they take great pride in their product. There will be repeat orders from this happy shopper as it earns me many brownie points. Can't recommend this too highly.

I bought various quantities of this as Christmas presents .
Good feedback and the system was efficient and worked well. I did find the purchasing process on the internet somewhat complex and could have done with a simple way of amending inadvertent errors without having to go back to scratch.

Side of smoked salmon
The Salmon was one of the best we have tasted as it was very easy to use but more importantly it was not at all greasy, fatty or overly smoked. We will definitely be using Ardtaraig again
