The Half Bottle of Red Wine & Cheese Box

A new addition to our range, this box has been designed as one of our " Small but perfectly formed" range. All designed around a gift that suits one or two people or for someone who is unlikely to open a full bottle of something themselves.

All of our other "small but perfectly formed" boxes contain our delicious smoked fish, however we knew that we had to design one around red wine and cheese. The perfect after dinner treat!

 Bodega Classica Hacienda Lopez de Haro Crianza 37.5cl 2018 Rioja, Spain

 Hacienda Lopez de Haro is a wine of intense colour and pleasant bouquet, in which the nuances of mature fruit stand out.
In the mouth it is soft, expressive and elegant, combining a fruity character with the notes lent by the cask, in perfect balance.
Bags of complex dark fruits mixed with coffee, balsamic and smooth oak notes.
After picking, the grapes spend 2 weeks on skins for depth of colour, the wine is then fermented at controlled temperature of 28 degrees.
The three grape varietals are then blended and age in a mix of French and American oak for 18 months before
spending a further 6 months in bottle prior to release. These classic Rioja wines come from the young and dynamic team at Vintae.
The wines are a great mix of classic style with modern accessibility. They are one of best value and best selling wines and not to be missed.
The Tempranillo and the Crianza are easy going, not overly oaky and provide immediate pleasure. The Reserva and Gran Reserva are more serious and pair brilliantly with food.
